WW - Rolex Oyster Perpetual "Bombay," ref 6092, circa 1951, 33mm x 40mm to lug tips, 19mm lug width, original 14K yellow gold screw back Oyster case with fancy bombe lugs, engraved presentation on caseback, brown lizard strap, fantastically refinished silvered honeycomb dial with applied gold arrow indices, 19J, s#729354, triple signed, inside back ref 6092 with 0000 stamping over the original 6900 reference number. Gross weight of assembled watch without strap 26.1 dwt (40.6 g).
CONDITION:
Mvt: Running, excellent cosmetic mvt condition overall, tarnish to plates and rotor, light oxide to steelwork; excellent-plus refinished dial; excellent gold dauphine hands; polished case shows light wear, caseback knurling is worn and chewed up quite badly, several light dings on caseback and between the lugs; non screw down Super Oyster crown shows little wear, tube shows ample wear having been worn in an uneven manner; good crystal; resealed for auction.
